My Yiddish teacher Sheva Zucker suggested this theme for a song. Evidently the Judith and Holofernes story was a very popular part of the Hannukah season for centuries but somehow it fell out of favor. I wrote the lyrics and set them to an English traditional song called "The Gaol Song." Then I found goanimate.com and used its online animation software to make this music video.
